Tesla Model Y Floor Mats Review 2025

Whether you’re picking up a new or used Tesla Model Y, floor mats are a great accessory to buy. They can prevent wear and tear. On top of that, they’re much easier to clean than the default Tesla flooring. But which Tesla floor mats should you buy?

You can buy mats directly from Tesla. However, many of its accessories are made in China or overseas. And I haven’t had much luck with Tesla’s online customer support. So instead, you can get nearly identical products that cost less from other companies.

New Tesla Model Y Floor Mats

This video shows my old and new Tesla mats. Feel free to comment and ask any questions! Because that motivates me to keep sharing what I learn 🙂

I’ve recently swapped out my Tesla Model Y floor mats. The first ones I’ve had for over a year and a half. Although, I had two small complaints with them. This is something you should look out for when buying Tesla mats…

Problems with Tesla Mats

Up first, they were just slightly smaller and slipped around a little. That’s not a big issue, but it plays into the second issue. The other annoying thing was the side warped in. This was by my right foot. And I’d often catch the side of the mat when going back and forth from the pedals.

It didn’t start that way. And I’m guessing traveling through extreme cold and heat led to the warping. I’ve driven my Model Y all over the U.S., so feel free to ask any questions. Either way, that’s the main reason I’ve switched to these new Tesla floor mats. The siding is lower and doesn’t bend out as much. So, there’s a lower chance that it’ll be an issue down the road.

The company, Yeslak, sent me these mats for free. They’re not paying me for making this content and the video above. On top of that, I won’t accept any products that come with speaking requirements. So, these are my own thoughts.

The material seems sturdy and they should last plenty long. If that changes, I’ll update you in the comments on the video. And feel free to ask any questions while checking those out.

Cost to Buy Tesla Floor Mats

This is a three-piece mat set for the Model Y. It’s for the front two seats and the back row. These are also a more snug fit than my past mats. On top of that, they also have small plastic spikes on the bottom to prevent them from slipping.

The company also sent the mats with little carpets that fit on top. However, I wouldn’t recommend the extra carpets. They kind of defeat my goal of making them easier to clean. Although, I can see how some people might prefer that so your feet don’t slip around as much. You’ll still protect the original flooring.

With both the old and new mats, the base material is easy to clean. You can easily take them out of your Model Y and hose them down. Then after drying, they’re easy to pop back in.

Now, answering a key question. How much do these Tesla floor mats cost? Without the extra carpets, they’re currently listed at $170. And that’s already a 24% discount compared to the ones from Tesla. But on top of that, you’ll likely find more discounts on the site. I’m seeing a new year sale bringing them down to $122.40. That’s over a 45% discount compared to Tesla’s mats. Free shipping as well.

Either way, congrats on picking up a Tesla or planning in advance. If you’d like to learn more, I have lots of articles and videos. I lived out of my Tesla Model Y for a year, sleeping in the back. To say the least, I’ve learned a bit and have plenty of hands-on insight to share.
