Blueprint Macadamia Protein Bar Ingredients: Nutrition Facts and Cost per Bar

The Macadamia Protein Bar is the only bar in the Blueprint line. It is built on macadamia nuts and pea protein, with no added sugar.

This article prints the full ingredient list and the full Nutrition Facts panel. It also checks the claims on the product page against that panel. It is a label comparison, not a product review. The bar was not tested for this article.

The short version

  • One pack holds 12 bars of 40 g each. A pack costs $29 as of November 2026, which is $2.42 per bar. The 3 pack costs $87 and saves nothing per bar.
  • Per bar: 160 calories, 9 g protein, 11 g fat, 5 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, and 1 g sugar with 0 g added sugar.
  • The sweetener is allulose. The protein is pea protein, delivered as crisps.
  • The product page says 20% macadamia nuts in two places and 22% in a third. At 20%, one bar holds about 8 g of macadamias.

The Biggest Trap: The Brand Prints Two Macadamia Numbers

Blueprint Macadamia Protein Bar ingredients and nutrition facts breakdown

The product description says 20% macadamia nuts. One FAQ answer on the same page repeats 20%. A second FAQ answer says 22%.

Both numbers cannot be right. The brand does not explain the gap.

Here is the part that matters. The percentage never appears on the Nutrition Facts panel. Percentages live in marketing copy. The panel prints grams, and grams are what you can hold the bar to.

At 20%, a 40 g bar holds about 8 g of macadamias. At 22%, it holds about 8.8 g. Either way, this is a nut bar with a modest nut content per bar, not a handful of macadamias in bar form.

Keep that 8 g figure in mind. It decides what the research below can and cannot say about this bar.

The Full Ingredient List, in Label Order

This is the White Cocoa Butter flavor, exactly as printed:

  • Pea protein crisps (pea protein, rice semolina, salt). The protein source, and the crunch.
  • Macadamia nuts. Listed second, which fits the 20% claim. Ingredient lists run from most to least by weight.
  • Chicory fiber. A soluble fiber from chicory root.
  • Allulose. The sweetener. It tastes like sugar and does not count as added sugar on a US panel.
  • Bottom coating (cocoa butter, allulose, inulin powder, sunflower lecithin, sea salt). The pale layer on one side of the bar.
  • Macadamia oil. More of the headline fat.
  • Sea salt and natural flavor. The end of every bar label.

The allergen line reads: contains tree nuts (macadamia). The bar is made in a facility that also processes milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanut, and sesame, among other allergens.

Blueprint lists the bar as vegan, non dairy, and gluten free. Both things are on the page. The product itself carries the vegan and gluten free labels, and the facility line still matters if your allergy is strict.

Two numbers deserve a second look.

First, the fiber. The marketing says the bar supports digestion with chicory root fiber. Chicory fiber and inulin both appear on the ingredient list. The panel still prints 1 g of fiber. If fiber is your reason to buy a bar, buy on the panel number, not the marketing line.

Second, the protein. Nine grams is modest for a product sold as a protein bar. Many bars in this category print 12 to 20 g. Read this one as a nut bar with protein added, not a protein bar with nuts added. For Blueprint’s higher protein options, see our Metabolic Protein vs Longevity Protein comparison.

The fat profile is the bar’s real strength. Eight of the 11 fat grams are monounsaturated, the fat macadamias are known for. Sugar stays at 1 g with none added.

What the Macadamia Research Actually Used

The best human trial on macadamias is Griel and colleagues, published in the Journal of Nutrition in 2008. Twenty five adults with mildly high cholesterol ate a controlled diet built around 42.5 g of macadamia nuts a day, for five weeks.

Total and LDL cholesterol both fell against the comparison diet. It is a clean result, for whole nuts, at 42.5 g a day.

One bar holds about 8 g of macadamias. That is less than a fifth of the trial dose, inside a processed bar, next to pea crisps and a coating. The trial supports macadamias as a food. It says nothing direct about this bar.

Price: What One Bar Costs

A pack of 12 costs $29 as of November 2026. That is $2.42 per bar. The 3 pack costs $87, which is the same $2.42 per bar. There is no bulk saving, the same pattern we found across the Blueprint stacks.

Check the Blueprint product page for current pricing. If it is your first Blueprint order, the referral link takes $50 off, which more than covers a pack.

Who This Bar Fits

  • You want a low sugar snack built on real nuts: it fits. One gram of sugar, none added, and a strong monounsaturated fat profile.
  • You want a high protein bar: look elsewhere. Nine grams is low for the category.
  • You want fiber: the panel says 1 g. This is not a fiber bar.
  • You have a tree nut allergy: skip it. Macadamia is the headline ingredient.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many bars come in a pack?

Twelve bars. Each bar is 40 g, and the pack’s net weight is 480 g.

What sweetens the bar if there is no added sugar?

Allulose. It appears in the bar itself and again in the bottom coating. The panel prints 1 g of total sugars and 0 g of added sugars.

Why does the panel show only 1 g of fiber?

Chicory fiber and inulin are both on the ingredient list, but ingredient lists do not print amounts. The panel is the measured number, and it says 1 g. Whatever the formula intended, 1 g is what a bar delivers on paper.

Is the bar vegan and gluten free?

Blueprint lists it as vegan, non dairy, and gluten free. The label also says the bar is made in a facility that processes milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanut, and sesame. Strict allergy readers should weigh both lines.

What flavors are there?

White Cocoa Butter and Raspberry. The brand says the variety pack also includes a Lemon flavor. The ingredient list and panel in this article are the White Cocoa Butter bar.

The Bottom Line

The Macadamia Protein Bar is a low sugar nut bar with a good fat profile and a modest protein count. Its panel is clean and short. Its marketing is less tidy: two different macadamia percentages on one page, and a fiber claim the panel does not back.

Buy it for the fat and the low sugar, at $2.42 a bar. Do not buy it for protein or fiber.
